Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

Vacuum cleaner We have a panasonic MC-E47electronic which seems dead. It has a speed control which we nearly always had on full anyway. Have tested continuity through plug, flex and on/off switch and all OK. from then is open circuit through speed control which consist of slide rheostat and mystery small green box (2cm x 2cm x 1cm approx). Across motor there is negligable resistance. Machine is quite old and not worth paying out loads on poarts if it is safe to bypass speed control and connect direct to motor. Is this safe? Thanks Andrew Webber

Panasonic vacuum cleaner just stopped running

Set the on/off switch to off, now check near the top of the "beater" portion, I think that model has a reset button, you should hear a slight "click" when depressed. Try turning the vacuum back on.

Panasonic mc 6220

To open a Panasonic MC 6220, pull quite firmly (but not enough to break it) on the vertical wine molded handle on the front of the vacuum cleaner. It sits between the 3 power selections buttons, and the window that shows how full the bag is. It takes a U3 bag - remove the orange/red mounting bracket from the wall of the vacuum, and then from the bag itself. Make sure you mount it properly on both (and the bottom of the bag so it fills completely) to avoid any dust leaking out. Good luck! This is a fabulous vacuum and lasts a long time, if you maintain it.

Panasonic vacuum cleaner MC-5030 stopped and don't work

Unplug, check if brush has cord wrapped. Check for fuse, if applicable.
Check power lead in another supply socket. Check for reset button, if applicable. Contact Panasonic technical support for suggestions before heading to service centre.

I have a panasonic mc-ul975 vacuum that works great when working properly. the airflow through the canister seems to stops once the aero blast technology is done running which causes the vacuum to not...

Hi there. In Panasonic vacuums2.gif, there is a thermostat protection on the motor. It will automatically shut off the motor if there is no airflow through the motor. This is typically caused by a clogged hose. Typically, if your dust container is that full, there could be backup in the hose. Or the dust container being too full could also or otherwise be the problem. Check your hose for blockage, let the machine cool off, it should start up again
