I have this message " SATA CD :: TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-U633J" What does it mean?

SATA : Serial ATA, the type of interface for the Drive as opposed to IDE (the older type.).
TSSTCorp is a joint venture Toshiba Samsung for Optical drives
CDDVD R-W CD and DVD Read Write.
TS-U633J is the model number. That is the reference you use if you are looking for drivers.
Why did this information get you worried?

DVD region default setting

Click Start - My Computer then Right click on the DVD drive - click on Properties - Click on Hardware tab - click on the DVD drive to highlight this drive then click Properties - then click DVD Region tab.
Now you can change the region.
It shows the current Region - Enter a new Region and click OK

If you have run out of Region changes, please let me know and I can advise you how to get around this problem.

CDDVDW stop responding

Try reseating the driver or delete registry: Follow the steps but you do that, please back up registry files by clicking on File and import:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Try to uninstall your optical drive on device manager and restart your system.
->if that doesn't work try a firmware update.
->if that still doesn't work,replace optical drive.
that should resolve your problem

Error 39, corrupt DVD/CD-Rom Drive

This has been a common windows issue. I'm sure that this will solve your problem. You can go to this link, http://tinyurl.com/toshibadvd, download the registry file and run it. After that, just restart your computer and it should be good to go.

If you're not sure and is worried about security since this is messing with the registry, you can just click on this microsoft link where it explains and gives you detailed instructions on how to manually edit the registry and fix the problem. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929461.

This is typically the same thing, the first one is just a shortcut on how to do it. Just a reminder, EDIT THE REGISTRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
