1. Use the original cable and try more USB ports.
2. Let the player charge, connecting the player directly to the computer,
preferred at the back side of the computer.
3. Check the device manager in the computer management for the player running with a functional driver without "yellow" marks, question mark or note of exclamation.
When connecting a brand new player as mentioned in the top page, scroll on the page to:
