Question about KitchenAid K45SS Classic Stand Mixer
To raise the bowl there is a handel on the right side you need to pull it up in a counter clockwise motion. You can also get the manual here on link below. On page 5 it will tell you how to raise the bowl. I looked on Costco site and this is the mixer. If this is not mixer please give me model # so I can help you more.

Turn screw (A) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise the flat
beater or clockwise (right) to lower the flat beater
2. Check the Beater Shaft (Agitator Shaft) making sure the Retaining ring
is flushed with the surface of the Planetary Assembly
Constant Pulling and Removal of the beaters can cause the Agitator shaft to move
3. If the above two still don't solve your problem, follow the service manual
directions to disassemble the Planetary Assembly and check for loose screws

To Attach Flat Beater,Wire Whip, or Spiral Dough Hook, simply
1. Slip flat beater on beater shaft.
2. Turn beater to right, hooking beater over the pin on shaft.
