Question about HP Compaq nx7010 Notebook
I have a compaq nx7010. I can use my laptop with no problem at the office or friends place but when I try to start it up in my apartment, error message appears and I can only boot the laptop in safe mode. My wife's laptop works fine in the apartment. Any idea what can cause this problem?
We have experienced this issue on many laptops and the common problem is not so obvious, but very simple. Try to turn the laptop on with wireless adapter DISABLED. If it starts, then chances are, You are in reach of N-protocol WiFi transmitter. These are new and not yet fully approved Hi-Speed WiFi access points, which gives speed to a few, but a headache to many. ;) :)

Star looking more closely at the surrounding environment. Is there other electronic equipment in your apartment that may be interfering with your laptop. Where do you set your laptop when you are trying to start it up at your house as opposed to where you set it up at work? etc....
Genuinely appears to be an environmental issue.
