I have an Adesso Z12 Graphics Tablet, and something seems to not be right with it. The tablet recognizes the fact that I'm trying to draw and do things on it, but the pen skips to somewhere else on the screen, and when it does what I want it to do, it selects the area around it whenever I move it. For example, if I clicked on somewhere on the webpage and moved the pen, it would select a whole block of text.

Is there anybody here who is familiar with the Adesso Cybertablet 8600?
First I'll say that despite Adesso being a cheap brand, my tablet has worked great for me for the past two years and I am happy with it. However, I cannot get the tablet's pressure sensitivity to work well in Illustrator CS2. When I go to the brush options, the pressure feature is off. Has anybody else experienced and/or conquered this problem? Thanks
The cursor skipping in three places is apparently caused by the connectors inside the tablet getting dirty or corroded. Fortunately, you can easily fix this problem yourself! All you need to do is unscrew the back of your tablet, unplug the connectors and clean them with a q-tip dipped in alcohol. There is a video on YouTube that shows you step-by-step how to do it(it's easy!). It's called: Howto fix dead areas on any graphics tablet and it's posted by riodroid. Here's a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff7Vw-0kPsE
Same problem here. Back in XP we found we could use another manufacturer's drivers (they apparently share some/all of the same internal hardware), but I haven't found any working alternatives yet (I have not tried them all). In 2006 someone posted: "YES! Adesso, Aiptek, Trust, Medion and another company are all distributing the same graphics tablet, just rebranded! So far, Adesso seems to have the most recent driver developments (version 3.09 vs. aiptek's version 3.08), so I used Adesso's (right from their website)."
If you find a solution, please let me know.
I'm also having a big issue with the pen's cursor flickering between two places (vertically-offset from each other, closer and closer together if I move it towards the upper left side of the screen). It doesn't do this in relative mode. Switching back to absolute caused it again, then I repeated the process and now it works, but the pen-area is not set properly, so I'm looking for the extra tabs which let me/us set the rectangle area for absolute mode.
I've had this problem haunting my tablet for so long! Seeing your problem here made me want to bring it back up to my attention and fix it... and I did! This worked for me at least!
Right click 'My Computer' and go to Properties. Goto > Hardware At the Top go to the Hardware Manager Look at your human interface drivers installed, when I plugged in my tablet, there were two drivers installed, one called Cyberpen and one other, I disabled the other (right click > properties) and restarted the computer and now its working!
it is a vista issue, you have to download a driver from another company for a different tablet, it is not an addesso driver, but it fixes the double mouse problem, the driver is from
Nisis / Aiptek V3.15 drivers
google that and download the driver, it should fix it
I found that the pen needs to be completely verticle in order to work properly for the left and right clicking. I did notice that while all my other pen functions work properly, the right click function completely disappeared. I've contacted Adesso, but all they do is send me new pen...#3 is on it's way
I posted earlier, but found a solution so I thought I would let other users know. Forget the Adesso drivers. Download and install the driver for the Aiptek 12000U Hyperpen tablet. They are the same tablet and apparently Aiptek has figured out the Windows vista issue. You can find the drivers here:
I had the same problem way back with my wacom tablet. Mine was due to mouseware drivers. Soon as I got rid of them it was fine. So if you have mouseware drivers it may be interfering with the wintab drivers
