Frigidaire dryer won't heat

Model # flgb43rgs1
It runs but there is no heat. Thought it could be the thermal limiter but don't know if it has one or where it is located.

Frigidaire Affinity AEQ6700FSO electric dryer does not heat, then shuts off within 10 minutes.

Hello Scott Joseph Brandt - Since you have already replaced the thermal limiter check your breaker or fuses. Some dryers are run by two separate fuses, one for power and one for heat-ours is. If it is not the power source more than likely the issue lies with your heating coil.

Maytag Neptune Model #MDE5500ATW How to tell if the thermal fuse is blown

If this THERMAL fuse is blown it would not operate at all. If it runs but don't heat it probably is a limit or the heater. If you see a lot of junk in the vent pipe AND it still runs then the heater limits are gone. If the vent it clear but filter housing or blower has an issue then it won't run and the thermal fuse is gone bye bye.

Dryer runs but won't heat

You will need a professional to diagnose the thermal limiter, small version of a fuse, heating element and the dryer/blower assembly.

My Maytag double stack gas dryer does not work, the screen is blank(not lighted)

Most clothes dryers have a thermal limiter or fuse, which is a heat-sensitive safety mechanism that shuts off heat to the drum or the power supply to the dryer if it overheats. Unfortunately, you can't replace a thermal limiter once it activates. The only choice you have is to replace it; your dryer won't operate properly until you do.
Although you can't reset a thermal limiter that has been blown, you can reset the dryer's two circuit breakers and restore heat to the drum and power to the dryer. However, after the breakers are reset, you'll still only have partial function of your dryer. For example, it might spin but not heat or it might initially turn on just to shut down after a few minutes. You must replace the defective thermal limiter to reinstate your dryer's full function.

Now that I have replaced the thermister on my Frigidaire Gallery Series 2004 electric dryer not only does it not produce any heat, though the blower works, the motor which turns the drum is not working...

Do not replace the control board unless the necessary troubleshooting is done to eliminate the other possible causes of the problem. The dryer will not heat if the motor doesn't run because the heating circuit is completed by the motor centrifugal switch which the motor activates. The problem with the motor not running must be determined and addressed first.

Disconnect power and with the top panel removed, locate the thermal limiter, a non-resettable fuse, mounted on the rear wall of the dryer.

Bypass the thermal limiter by disconnecting and joining the wires together. Reconnect power and start the dryer. Replace the thermal limiter along with the high-limit thermostat if the dryer starts and the problem with the motor not running is solved.

Let us know if the dryer still doesn't start and/or the drum lamp doesn't turn on when the door is opened with the thermal limiter bypassed for further advice.

Dryer drum turns, no heat, replaced thermal limiter

Your model which we call the 417, is not usually easy to work on. The heating element is located behind the dryer drum. The drum has to be removed to change the element. There is a lot involved but given the cost of a stack unit the element and labor may be worth it.
