Question about Nokia 6288 Cellular Phone
I was drunk one night and changed the security code on my phone and when it boots up its asking for it can any one help me how to fix it the imei number is 354558013773915 cheers danndboy
The security code has nothing to do with your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).
It may be asking for a security code. That is a 5 digit number.
Put the original SIM in the phone, in tools/settings/phone/security, turn off phone security code.
You should be able to use your phone with any SIM card now.
SIM lock and PHONE lock are different and do a different job.
SIM locks the card, to prevent anyone else having access to your personal details, stored on the card.
Phone locks the phone, to prevent anyone else using it with another SIM card.
To reset it go to your service provider and they will do it for you, free of charge.
