Question about Apple iPhone 3G Black Smartphone
Well there is a software problem and you will need to restore your iPhone. This is a known problem since firmware version 2.0 (maybe 2.0.2 that was released today will fix it).
Please follow the below steps to resolve the problem -
Put your iPhone into recovery mode.
To put your iPhone in recovery mode:
Step 1: Plug in your iPhone to your computer, make sure your sound is turned on and not muted.
Step 2: Hold the top corner button for two seconds. You should hear a sound.
Step 3: Now, still holding the top power button, immediately press the home button and hold both buttons for 10 seconds. You should hear another sound from your computer.
Step 4: Release the power button but *continue holding the home button*, for another 30 seconds.
Step 5: Meanwhile, continue holding the Home button and open iTunes. Wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode. You should also hear a third sound from your computer during this time.
Step 6: Click on your iPhone in iTunes. It should say it's in recovery mode and need to be restored.
Step 7: Click OK and restore it.
Please post comment if further you have the same problem.......

Download the latest iTunes to your computer and reset the iPhone. Then re-sync it.
To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.
Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.
