I think you have to make a windows password reset disk with third part utility. I know a windows password recovery tool named "Windows Login Recovery". Burn a boot CD with the program, and insert it into the problem computer and your password will be reset to “Blank”, without losing any data and you needn't reinstall windows OS. You can download it from http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com

How can i add guest icon to my startup screen

If your computer is not part of a domain. First check if the Guest account is turned on. You will need to be an Administrator. The guest account option is in the User Account control panel. Click Start > Control Panel (in the right hand column). Select the link for User Accounts. Click on the Guest account to turn on the option.

Then you should be able to see an option for switching to the Guest account when you log out of your current account or get to the select user screen when you turn on/restart the computer. (The default is to log in the most recent user.)

If your XP Pro computer is part of a domain, you need to use the Local Users and Groups section of Computer Management. That's in the Control Panel under Performance and Maintenance > System Tools. Right click on an account and select Properties to enable or disable the account.

I hope this helps.

Recently I met many similar questions. Are you troubled with the same problem, also forgot Windows 7 password? Well, before answering the question, you should understand what a guest account is?

What is a guest account in your Windows 7?

The guest account in your Windows 7 only allows people to use your computer without having access to your personal files. With the guest account, you can't install any software or hardware, change settings, or create a password. Because the guest account allows a user to log on to a network, browse the Internet, and shut down the computer, you should disable the guest account when it isn't being used.

Solution: After learning the definition of a guest account, you can understand it is not possible for you to bypass Windows 7 password through the guest account. But you can bypass your Windows 7 password, with Windows Password Breaker, a safe and efficient tool for you to bypass Windows 7 password. It allows you to bypass your lost Windows 7 password in less than 5 minutes.

What is Windows Password Breaker?

Windows Password Breaker is professional Windows password reset software with 3 editions: Windows Password Breaker Standard, Windows Password Breaker Professional and Windows Password Breaker Enterprise.

It is designed to bypass Windows domain password, Windows administrator password and user password. With this Windows password recovery tool, you can instantly regain access to your locked computer by burning a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive on your own. No need to reinstall computer or pay to PC experts when you forgot administrator password or domain password on Windows 7/Vista/XP/NT and Windows Server 2008(R2)/2003(R2)/2000.

How to bypass Windows 7 password easily?

Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Breaker Professional.

Step 2: Burn bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive.

Step 3: Set your locked computer to boot from CD ROM or USB.

Step 4: Choose the installation path of Windows, and enter the ID of the path.

Step 5: All Windows account user names will be displayed for you. Enter the ID of a specified User Name to remove its account password.

Step 6: Enter y to confirm and continue your operation.

Step 7: Enter y to remove another Windows account password or enter n to finish your operation when the selected windows account password is removed.

Step 8: Take the burned USB flash drive out of computer and press any key to restart your computer when you enter n to finish your operation.

The Windows 7 administrator password has been successfully reset and now you can access your computer without password. Please note this method to bypass Windows 7 password takes effect only when you log on computer after Windows 7 password reset.

Screen name on Hp 2000 says locked underneath it. Password tried too many times. Need to redo it with a new name and password

Not sure if this will work without some user's account being open, but try starting Task Manager. Press Ctrl/Alt/Delete. Press all 3 keys at the sme time. There should be a "reset password" option. But again, I don't know if you can do this unless a user is already signed in. If it doesn't work, the computer should have a "public" or "guest" account. When it wants your password, look for "change users". Click on that and select he guest, or public, or whatever it is labelled, account, and you'll be in the computer, but not in your owner's account. And if you try the task manager/change password from the guest account it may not let you do anything with your owner's account. If all else fails, call HP at 800-474-6836.

How do i change my password when im on as a guest

Which operating system are you on ?

Windows allows you to create a guest account that is limited in terms of its ability to change settings and download content and software. At times, you may want to reset this account's password, which is easily accomplished.

Log into the system as the administrator. Click the "Start" button and then "Control Panel." Choose "Administrative Tools" and choose "Computer Management." Click "Local Users and Groups" in the left column and then "Users." Right-click "Guest" in the main menu and choose "Properties." Enter the old and new passwords. Confirm the password. Click "Next" and "Finish."
