Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F717 Digital Camera
Everything appears to be responding normally except that I see no image on the LCD or the electronic viewfinder. The Sony splash screen does show up a power on. The various settings do show on the screen, but the background is black. There is no lens cap on. When I switch to review mode, the LCD briefly lights up in blue, then goes black. When I press the shutter, the LCD show the recording progress bar, but no image. The Nightshot/Nightframing settings are off. I have a new battery newly charged which shows 22i minutes on the LCD. Any suggestions? Many thanks.
Sony had a certain issue with the CCD chip on this camera. If it's this issue, they'll fix it free plus $20 until March 2010.
