SOURCE: On the Bench Oscillating Spindle Sander how do you

Remove the spindle from the machine itself before you change the sanding sleeve. There should be a flat section on the bottom of each spindle that you can hook a wrench on to hold it while you undo the top bolt.

Changing blade on Ryobi chop saw

Unplug the saw. If the blade is moving, wait for it to stop. If the blade arm is locked into its down position, push down slightly on the blade arm to release the tension on the blade arm lock pin. Pull out the lock pin to release the blade arm and allow it to move upward.
2 Rotate the lower blade guard upward and expose the Phillips-head screw that holds the blade bolt cover in place. Loosen the screw and rotate the blade bolt cover up and out of the way to expose the hex-head blade bolt.
3 Push the spindle lock button in and rotate the blade bolt until the spindle lock engages fully, stopping the ability of the blade bolt to rotate.
4 Loosen the blade bolt using a 10-millimeter/12-millimeter combination wrench. The blade bolt is lefthand threaded, which is the reverse of conventional threading. Turn the bolt clockwise to loosen and remove it. Note the placement of the outer washer and remove it as well.
5 Place a drop of machine oil on the inner blade bolt washer. Do not remove the inner washer. If it is missing, replace it before replacing the blade.
6 Slide the replacement saw blade up past the lower blade guard and onto the blade spindle. The blade teeth should point downward at the front of the saw. Saw blades often have rotation arrows that can help you double-check that the saw is installed to rotate the correct direction.
7 Press the spindle lock button in to lock the spindle and reinstall the blade bolt. The blade bolt will tighten in a counterclockwise direction. Replace the blade bolt cover and install the blade bolt cover screw.
8 Position a combination square to check that the blade is square to the saw fence and saw table. If the blade is not square, refer to the procedures in the manual for squaring the blade to the fence and table.
Things You Will Need
  • 10-millimeter/12-millimeter combination wrench
  • 5-millimeter hex key
  • Combination square
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Machine oil
  • Overtightening bolts and screws can result in cross-threading. Cross-threading damage compromises the integrity of bolts and screws and can be a difficult error to correct.
  • Do not attempt to install a blade that is too thick in the saw. If the blade washer cannot engage the flats on the spindle, the blade is too thick for the saw.

How to change a mitre saw blade

When changing the blade on your mitre saw the first step is to unplug the tool for safety reasons. DO NOT disassembly the safety cover, there is a bolt on the housing that when loosened allows the cover to be moved away from the blade to expose the spindle bolt. After moving the ASSEMBLY away from the blade turn the blade by hand slowly while pushing on the spindle lock to stop rotation. Loosen the blade bolt (usually left hand thread) and place the parts in the order removed, e.g. blade bolt outer flange, blade spacer if used. Reinstall blade noting the rotation of the teeth and replace parts in reverse order. After installation check for rotation by carefully turning the blade by hand and replace safety cover to its original position and tighten bolt.

How to loosen a bathroom tap spindle to change the washer?

How To Remove Bathtub Faucet Stems

Yes, faucet stems can be very difficult to loosen after years of mineral buildup. First you want to make sure the valve is open half way. Spray the stem nut with a lubricant such as WD 40 or the like.Let the lubricant work its way inside the threads. You may also use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the nut a little. Keep trying to loosen the stem ( a stem socket should be used). Keep spraying the stem nut. Try to go the other way, to tighten the stem, but do this on the gentle side. Do not put much pressure on the turn. It's a matter of a little at a time, as with a frozen nut on a bolt. Good Luck!!!

Beat on the spindle that holds lower control to the lower spindle while prying the lower control arm down this will loosen the lower ball joint spindle. If there is a lock bolt take it out. Grind the rivets off in the lower ball joint. The new one comes with bolts to replace it (not rivets)

I need to know how to change the blade to my Milwaukee heavy duty abrasive cutoff machine.

Look around the housing where the switch handle bolts on. You should see a spindle lock pin. With the unit unplugged you want to push in the pin and when you go to tighten or loosen the blade bolt the spindle will lock into place. Sometimes you need to turn the spindle a bit for the lock to catch. Once you have changed the blade just release the pin as it is spring loaded.

Right front wheel bearing going out - how do you fix it?

Remove the wheel. Remove the center nut holding the c.v. shaft to the spindle. Loosen the bolt holding the tie rod to the spindle and set the tie rod out of the way.You may need a hammer for this. Remove the bolt holding the strut to the spindle. Remove the bolts on the upper and lower control arms. Remove the spindle and have the old bearing pressed out and the new one pressed in. Installation is reverse of removal.

Changing brake rotors

If you have changed your brakes before this is actually pretty easy.

Firstly you need to get the brake pads out ...

Easiest way to do this is to loosen the caliper bolts found on the top and bottom of the caliper. Loosen the top a few turns but do not remove it completely...Loosen the bottom bolt and take it all the way out....

You should now be able to shift the caliper up and out of the way....once it is out of the way you can then undo the rotor bolts in the centre of the rotor.

Slide them out of the way and yank off the rotor...replace the old with the new, tighten the rotor bolts slide the caliper back into place, tighten the bolts...

You're done...
