Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
First thing I would do is to reset your CMOS by:
1) Power down.
2) Remove power cord.
3) Push power button in and hold for 15 seconds.
4) Open the case.
5) ground you self to the case for a second. (touch bare metal)
6) Remove the battery for 30 seconds.
7) Replace battery.
8) Double check all your connections and cards if any.
9) Close the case.
10) Connect power and power up.
Your diagnostic lights indicate "Other Failure". (The one on the right is amber, correct?) That could be anything. Here is a reference for your diagnostic lights:
Try resetting the CMOS first and comment back.
BTW, this will remove your password too, so you will have to go into the BIOS and reset. You will probably get a "Configuration change" message when you first boot up. Press F1 to go in and then do a Save & Exit.
Thanks for using Fixya.
