Question about NetGear WGT624 Wireless Router
My netbook shows its connected to my router through the wireless network but it can't bring up anything on the internet. I have tried all the command prompts to release, renew and refresh the ipconfig but no luck. If hook up the netbook from the modem to router using all ethernet cables instead of wireless it works fine, but wirelessly it will not display any webpages. I have done a hard reset on the modem and the router and my desktop works fine but the netbook isn't.
Re4place your Wireless Access code as set up with router control program. Often wireless access is denied when mistakes are made with this pass code. Just replace whatever code you have with another (simpler?) code or even going to "None" for Security. To try and establish comm through the router, if it succeeds with no security try again with perhaps WPA-[TKIP] coding.
