HP 6000 no audio output installed

Hey!I have a HP G6000 running on vista and the other night it downloaded an update, restarted itself and now i have a red x by my speaker icon and a ''no audio output device is installed'' message. I've tried everything I've found on the net to try and get it working but nothing's worked so far. Please help. Thanks :)

I've tried all of that and nothng has worked. In my sound options it just says "no audio device is installed" and i don't have a "Sound, video and game conrollers" category in my device manager options

No, I haven't been able to fix it, the sound works sometimes but then just stops after a while and I've tried downloading and installing the drivers from the hp website. It says that I don't have an audio card plugged in so I can't roll back the drivers.

You could try to roll back the driver on the Audio Card. Or go to the HP website and download the driver again and reinstall?
Last thing you could try is uninstalling the update itself.

Enable Monitor Speakers
Most Windows operating systems are not set up by default to run sound through a monitor's speakers. Instead, the sound device needs to be manually set to "Monitor Speakers" in the Sound section of the control panel.

Open the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel."
Double-click the "Sound" icon in the control panel to bring up the Sound dialog box.
You may need to select "Hardware and Sound" prior to this, depending on which control panel view you are using.

Click the "Playback" tab, then right-click in the Devices window and select "Show Disabled Devices."
Click on your monitor speakers and click the "Properties" button.
Click the "Device Usage" drop-down menu and select "Use This Device (Enable)." This will enable your monitor speakers.

My hp webcam doesn`t seem to be enabled

drivers for webcam hp....
windows Xp
I assumed that for vista you have the drivers cause the laptop came with a vista os on it ...anyway you can get them on a search on google cause it is an easy to find..download...
ok ...what you have to do if it do not see your cam ..is fist go to the add remove software ...in the control panel ...and remove any driver related to the camera..
than take a look into the device manager ...by right click on my computer icon ..than properties/...hardware ...and device manager ...
Here you look for the webcam ...it should be presented in yellow ..with an ask sign ..if it has no driver....
If there is nothing like a web-cam around...press the last icon (scan for hardware changes) ..or right click on computer and same ..scan for hardware changes...this will scan for any devices that are added and not yet installed...
The same thing can be made ...from the control panel by using the add new hardware wizard ...but ..sometimes it is hard to find it in the list ...
Anyway..., after you located the camera...eiter run first the driver you downloaded for xp ...or you already have for vista.....and than restart ...or ...right click on the camera in the device manager ...and run update driver wizard ...and durring this ...you will choose the driver by browsing from list ...
beter do it both way ...run the installer ...and after that update from the device manager to find it ...
or if the driver is not an instaler but a folder ...run update driver ...and point it to the folder by browsing to choose driver manually ...
Restart ...and beware that during the installation the windows os ..may not recognize the driver as a digitally signed on e...but choose to run it anyway ..
Good luck ! and do not forget to rate ...Thanx!

No sound. yellow (!) by audio driver in device mgr. error 10

Go to your device manager (windows key+break, device manager is on the left) and under "Sound, video and game controllers" will be "Realtek High Definition Audio" which has the yellow exclamation mark. Right click it and select uninstall. Reboot, and Windows should detect new hardware. If Windows doesn't automatically install the proper driver, the latest one can be downloaded from Realtek at the following link:

When i want to update an update that needs to be updated

Do you know what the update is that fails? I guess the easiest way to see it is instead of using auto update, use Custom Update and see what needs to be installed.

I have also seen were some people have suggested this is caused by spy-ware on your system. Perhaps a in-depth scan would eliminate that possibility.
Personally I would not worry much about HP updates. The only time I would think of doing such updates is if I were having a problem with my system and an update directly addressed the issue. In fact I would go as far as to remove the HP updater.

Now Windows Updates are a different matter and should be done as they often cover security issues.

The HP Update program (bloatware, in my opinion) doesn't work with Vista very well, even though the system would have been bought with Vista pre-installed.Vista.

If you want to get rid of the HP Updates program, go to the Start menu and into the 'Control Panel'. Select "Programs & Features". The program is called 'HP Update'. You can Uninstall that program there if you like. You can manually check for updated hardware drivers by going to the HP site's Drivers and Downloads area, and entering your Desktop Model Number.

The HP Updates program also seems to have problems with various software/hardware firewalls, particularly when running Windows Vista, preventing it to search for and download optional driver updates for your HP computer.

HP says that hpsudelpacks.exe is a virus which affects mostly the automatic downloading of hp updates. go to their website and download the realtek audio driver manually to see if you can actually download updates to begin with. You should update any spyware or virus program if you have to and then shut down my computer and restart in safe mode. When in safe mode , run windows defender found here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx , then run avg virus program found here http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe , then restart your computer, click on hp update in my start button area, and you should able to download another update.

Regards..
