Knocking noise from front right end on 98' camry. 99,000 miles, and I am the second owner. first owner kept up great maintanence. I have been advised from large national chain that both front end quick...

I think you should make quite certain at the mechanics' that it is the struts and mounts knocking, and not the lower main ball joints. However worn strut top mounts are the most likely cause.

You don't say where you are but in the US $1000 should get you new struts and mounts both sides, albeit not a top name brand, and a necessary wheel alignment also.

You should not just replace only one side as that will degrade the handling and steering of the car.

I have no way to connect to the granite counter top. Can it be mounted to the side cabinets?

Need prefix for model number. Need complete model number. I believe that the numbers that you have given are stock numbers from your user manual. Kenmore can be several different manufacturers. Some brands have kits to mount unit from the sides using brackets at the top. If stainless steel tub, look for removable plastic caps on the right and left sides of unit. These holes would be used for installing bolts into cabinet. If plastic tub and no kits are available holes can be drilled into sides to secure unit to cabinet. As long as heads of bolts(screws) are flush to allow door closing, unit will not leak because of tub(door gasket.

I just bought my gps but i dont know how you turn on it on? and what is the circle disk for?and where should i connect the handle at? i dont get it...

The unit has a slide switch on the side. If you are asking how to mount the unit, it came with a bracket that snaps on (there are indentations in top and bottom where it hooks in). Then you pop the ball mount into the receptacle on the back. The circle disc to which you refer is for PERMANENT dash mounting. It has double sided tape that sticks to the dash. You can then use the suction mount on the disc instead of the windshield. I hope this helps.

Dryer works fine, washer fills up, then does nothing more

The symptoms you describe are typical of a lid switch malfunction. The lid switch is usually located on the right hand side under the top cabinet. It is activated by a plastic piece on the lid (called a "Lid Strike") through a small hole on the right side of the wash tub opening. Make sure the lid strike is still on the lid and intact, first. Then, check the mounting screws that hold the lid switch in place (along the right hand side tub rim). Often all that is required is to tighten up the mounting screws and this will realign the lid switch where it can be properly activated by the lid strike. If the lid switch is broken, you can find a replacement at Just type in your COMPLETE model number and look under the "Washer Top and Lid" heading. The lid switch is listed as item number 22 (part #3355806) and the lid strike will be listed as item number 16 (part #358684). If you do not wish to order online, take the part numbers provided by Sears and go to your nearest appliance parts retailer. These are common parts that most will carry in their store inventory.
This is a very inexpensive repair that you can easily accomplish on your own. I hope you find this information helpful. If you require additional assistance, please let me know. You should be able to access the lid switch on your model washer by the following steps:

1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Insert a putty knife into the seam where the top of the washer meets the front panel, about 2 inches in from each side.
3. Push in on the release tabs while lifting on the washer top. The top panel and lid should lift up. The lid switch should be mounted under the top panel on the right hand side.
4. Locate the lid switch connector and unplug it.
5. Remove the the mounting screws that hold the switch in place, and remove the wiring harness from the mounting clips.
6. Reinstall new switch using the above steps in reverse order.

I hope you find this information helpful. Let me know if you require additional assistance.

PS This is a common problem experienced by this line of washing machines. To prevent future failures, do not slam the washer lid or place anything heavy on the lid. Repeatedly slamming the lid to get it to work, or manipulating the timer can also cause more potential problems.

Cannot reverse door on Electrolux fridge freezer

Basically they needed to supply an additional door mount for the left hand side of the door as well as the right hand side. Problem now sorted. Poor instructions in the manual didn't help here!
