Go into the setup menu and look for the time and date stamp. It will either say "Time and date stamp" or it will be an icon that looks like a rubber stamp. Just shut it off and save your changes.

Go to menu, - camera setting, - scroll down the features till you'll find the date stamp, remove (undo) the check mark in the box and you're done!
Take a test shot and view. The date should not appear on the photo now.

I have a Canon powershot A470 Digital Camera How can I remove the date stamp from appearing on the photo ?

Note that date/time stamp only works in the lower resolution (1200 pixel width) "postcard" mode. Press Func set, then change the picture resolution to anything other than postcard. Try one of the higher resolutions, you might be pleased with the improvement in picture quality.

I have a powershot A480 canon camera and it date stamps all my photos. How do I disable this function?

If you press the "Function Select" button then press the outer ring UP or DOWN to select the icon that looks like a clock on the left and panel. Then press the outer ring LEFT or RIGHT until the L is selected and appears in the panel on the LHS. That will remove the date stamps from the photos.

Cheers, Richard

PS Great choice of camera by the way.

Date stamp on photos for Canon SD100 IS

I believe you are referring to the PowerShot SX100 IS, as there is no SD100 IS. And yes, it does have the date stamp option while the image size is set to the postcard mode.
