Question about HP OfficeJet 4255 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I have an HP officejet 4255 all-in-one printer. The plastic ribbon on which the cartridge assembly rides in both directions has come off. How can I put it back on? Thanks Caesar

Its a difficult situation....
if you are having good skills in servicing electronic equipment you may open the top cover sincerely and access to the mounting arrangement of the timing belt (transparent ribbon). It is easy to place it properly back on position.
Better to contact nearest HP service centre, if you are doubtful about your skills for the same....

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Printer keeps telling me to remove and check left cartridge, which i have done and have installed a new one, with the same message coming up.

I'm not sure if this printer has one but some HP printers have a small ribbon cable that connects to the cartridge holder. There is a small wire spring that holds the cartridge in the holder, however this spring will puncher the ribbon cable rendering the printer useless telling the user to insert a new cartridge. Way to go HP.
