Question about Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless-B Broadband Router (12503024)
I've confirmed that my laptop's wireless capabilities IS functioning properly (I tested it outside my home at my place of employment) -- however, here at home, it shows signal strength to my router but has limited or no connectivity -- my router has been working fine for a long time up til now -- is the "wireless" part of the router failing (or has failed)? I have "recycled" it several times (i.e., powered it off, then back on -- wait about 10 seconds in between), but to no avail......please advise......thanks
Reset your router, it would enable you to connect
On the back of your router there is a little black reset button. Use a pen or paper clip and press down for 10 seconds. Make sure the lights on the router stop blinking for one second. Release the button and make sure to reset your wireless security and network ID.
If that doesn't work just unplug your routers power cord. This is the easiest way to reset your internet connection without resetting your router to factory settings.
If neither of those work, unplug the power cord of your modem. This will completely reset the internet connection without resetting the routers settings.
