I have my doubts about the transformer. Most power transformer faults would take out all channels, not just one. I think it highly unlikely that both channels have two seperate transformers to supply them with power. It's more likely that the fault is caused by whatever is mounted to the heat sink. It's likely they saw you coming mate!

Sony av receiver #str-dh700. only could hear relay clicking when i press power . the system could not be come on . what it be / & how to repair it?

One of two things. Either the main power fuse is open or the power transformer is bad. If the fuse is blown, then it usually means you have a bad amp channel that needs to be repaired. If it's not the main fuse, then the thermal fuse in the transformer may have opened which requires the transformer to be replaced.

Need a power transformer from 220input to 120output

What you need is simply a power converter device that knocks the power down for your device. Look for a UK (European) to USA power convertor on somewhere like Amazon.

My AKG C1000S shows a weak signal from one side of the two stereo channels when I use an XLR going to a 1/4 inch Stereo jack. Does the mic only work properly with a Mono jack?

You have connected the mic improperly. You'll need an XLR to 1/4" transformer to properly match the impedance, then run into a mono channel.

I just got one what is it an how does it work an how do i hook it up?

2 channel power amp
you will need additional equipment for this beast to work right.
1. you need a pre-amp, all audio connections go into the preamp which control sorces, volm, bass and treble.
2. out from the preamp into the power amp and out to your speakers

3. you can freak it if you have an 1/8" stereo to RCA stereo plug in this caee you can play your ipod, phone or mp3 player thru this amp using your input device (ipod, phone or mp3 player ) like a preamp to control volm, bass and treble.

Yamaha m70 amp and c70 pre-amp right speaker stopped working

First, lets's determine if it's the amp or the preamp...

Swap the Left and Right channel cables between preamp and the amp with each other.

Did it stay on the right? = amp problem.

Now on the left? Preamp or source.

Plug any Line Level device (CD?) directly into the amp inputs. Work now? Preamp problem.

ALL sources? Preamp - toggle all controls, especially a Tape Monitor to possibly wipe of any built-up oxides in them.

Before asuming it is the power transistors check the power on relay first as mine had the same proble and it was because of the Relay that did not switch on the one channel or amp (remember this is a power amp and consist of two mono amps)

It sounds like you want to use the external amp rather than the internal one. If that is the case, just connect the output of the EQ to the input of the external amp. All you are doing is inserting the EQ between the amp stages now. Using the mx-1 rather than the internal amp is no different.

Distorted sound

This is an automatic high end amp. Make sure you are using 8 ohm speakers. If the connections are correct, also use good quality speaker wire.

If this makes no difference, it seems that it would need to go to the repair shop.
