Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
They are fairly easy to replace. There should be 6 rubber screw caps/bumpers around the bezel of the lcd. Remove the covers and the phillips screws underneith. Gently remove the front bezel. Take your time doing this, because they use some adhesive strips around the sides as well as some clips. If your not careful, you will crack the bezel. Once removed there should be about 3 screws on either side of the lcd holding it to the hinges. Remove these screws. Unplug the backlight from the inverter board at the bottom of the lcd and the main flex cable from the back of the unit. Installation is the reversal of disassembly. A new LCD can be purchased on ebay for around $110-150.
