Please check your equipment against the listing found here:

If your device is not listed, it is not supported by Windows 7. You might contact HP concerning this. If enough people request this driver, HP or a 3rd party will come up with a driver.

Alternatively, you might want to have your computer scanned by . When you review the driver report they will provice you fro no charge, they may have some suggestion for you.

Great! I'm so glad to hear your trouble is solved and I could be a little part of that.

Positive feedback is what keeps me volunteering here at this site when I should be working inthe garage!!!

Still, please go to and have your computer scanned, a free service.

Thanks again for the kind words

HP officejet 7410 all-in-one printer compatibility with Windows 7

Read the last comment on this blog about your printer. At the time that model was manufactured, Windows 7 was not apparantly listed or verified. I think they have updated their drivers, so update your drivers per the blog instructions. Good luck, hope this works for you!

I would like to add this printer to my new laptop that is running windows 7 and my disc says it is for Windows through XP. What do I need to do?

You will need to know if you need 32 or 64 bit drivers...

1. Click start.
2. In the left column Right-click on 'Computer', now click 'Properties'
3. You'll see what you need under the System Type entry. (See image below.)
4. Once downloaded, double-click the file and follow the directions.

You can download the drivers from HP: Offiecjet 7410 Windows 7 x32
Officejet 7410 Windows 7 x64

My HP Officejet 7410 xi is showing an error message that states "Remove and check color cartridge". I have tried replacing the old cartridge with two separate new ones and I still get the error message.

Apparently, there is a known problem with this printer series (7310 / 7410). When you replace the cartridge, there is a metal wire that keeps the cartridge in place. This wire comes away from the wall as you slide the cartridge in and makes a hole in the ribbon cable.

Unfortunately, there is not much that you can do, other than to contact HP. Hopefully, your printer is still under warranty.

Can't load software on new computer that is running Windows Vista

Did you download the Vista driver from HP? Here's a link:

7410 W/Vista downloads

You will need to uninstall the printer and any software you have already installed first.

I noticed that there is also a critical update for Vista users near the bottom of the list.
