Okay, a hex (0x1B), that's a hexadecimal number is defined by the 0xYY signature.
What you are looking at is a Hex IB, That is the escape code for earlier editions of the HP Command set.
More that likely, all you need to do is to change the driver properties to Pcl5e to fix your problem.
Right now, the printer is expecting a PCXL command set and it is receiving a PCL5e command set.
