I replaced a few parts before including waveguides. parts that i need alittle help with are ngc 3017 and ngc 3016. they seem like they go under the wave guides, from the bottom of the oven. so am i supposed to take off the side, and top covers, would i be able to get to it that way? what is the procedure of replacing these 2 parts? how hard is it to replace these parts anyway?

the parts that you have mentioned ngc3017 and 3016 are assy waive guide front and rear , and to remove them you have to remove the side covers ,wright side ,then remove duct that connects the two magnetrons, the waive guide , but you have said you have replaced these before

The oven temperature decals have almost all rubbed off and I was trying to see if there was a way to replace them. Thanks!

You probably can find new knobs online. You will need your make and model number of your oven so that you get the right one. I am including some links to a few sites that might be able to help you. Hope this helps!

I bought my turbochef NGCEW ex Subway. It heats up no problem and then shows the Subway menus but I can't seem to access the edit menu. Also, some of the keys don't beep when I press

This might help you out:

It's a service manual for the TurboChef NGC Tornado.

Pay particular attention to pages 15 through 19. It shows you how to edit menus and to reset everything.

Good luck!

I have an Turbochef NGC oven that keeps tripping the breaker. There are no faults but seems to only trip the breaker when the sausage setting is entered.

If you know how to use multimeter than check the resistance of Convenctional heater and the IR element.
CC heater .....not sure how many ohms
IR should be 14 ohms
If both are in specification then replace breaker(thermostat in the oven).
Usually if breaker trips 4-5 times then its good to replace it.

Last few weeks occasionally my turbo is saying door not closed. Had this problem before but the grate had swelled we ordered new one this is a different reason because when we hold the door shut it still...

HI, problem sounds like your primary switch isn't the left side pannel and adjust the primary switch or if it is damaged then replace it.
You need Part number NGC 1215 (adjustment tool).
For checking the primary switch that it is bad or good you must know how to enter into the test mode.
Let me know if you know how to go into test mode ,so I can explain more a little bit.

F 3 mag error. had a bad magnetron and hv transformer. went head and changed both hv transformers, diodes, caps, magnetrons. worked for about 5 hours and its back to blowing f3 fuse. Any ideas

F3 errors can indicate a mag problem. Did you replace both mags? It can also be a door switch. If your fuses are good, you need to inspect the 2 magnetrons. If you have a burned tip on one the waveguide and waveguide cover it will need to be replaced.

I am working on an NGC subway oven and the store manager told me it would only heat up half way

Check the IR element. check the heaters. check the high limit switch on the back of the oven. Usually the IR element will have burned wires where it enters the oven and will need replacing.

I own a subway store, we use a turbochef tornado i believe, there are a few parts that need to be replaced (i had to buy them myself, and try to replace them myself, because i cant afford to pay for...

send me an e-mail at since your a subway owner i can help you get your parts cheap. I hope your not paying retail for these parts.

easy to replace you need to take the top and right cover off. Usually you would replace the mags at this time also

I have NGC tornado Turbochef, it is toasting too

the subway ovens are supposed to be around 1000 dont change any of the settings if you think you are having programming issues speak to your field rep and ask them to reprogram your oven. they have a smart card for doing this. it will give you all the latest buttons including hashbrowns and breakfast stuff.

most common problem with toasting to dark is that you are using the wrong buttons

try cooking the next sandwich on the 1meat hotwell setting and select the sandwich size. you will notice the sandwich cooks much lighter.

if you cook using the combo subs button this could be your problem. most of the time re-training is just needed

F3 errors can indicate a mag problem. Check your fuses first, it can also be a door switch. If your fuses are good, you need to inspect the 2 magnetrons. If you have a burned tip on one the waveguide and waveguide cover will need to be replaced. I usually replace the entire system at a cost to the customer of $1500.00
