Brightness We just replaced our lamp and while the picture is definitely brighter than it was before we replaced it - it still doesn't seem as bright as it was orginally. We use the set a lot and its about 2 years old!

Re: Brightness

Try cleaning mirror with a Lint free cloth with no other cleaning solution just dry lint free cloth. You should have Two access holes that you can pop out to get to mirror. Of course it will not be real easy to get to mirror if you do not have long arms but I have done it many times. Mirror sometimes get fogged causing poor reflection of mirror. This may help.

I turn on my Mitsubishi WD-73833 TV and it turns itself off

Lessing of brightness on a DLP set is a sign of imminent bulb failure.

A new bulb is in order.

My SONY KDF-50E3000 turns on but it looks like its weak, color it not bright and I already have it to 100 on the brightest level. Any idea on what it could be ?

Some televisions have a Power Saving Mode; the picture will become brighter if the Powers Saving Mode is turned off.
Some televisions have a Light Sensor; the picture will become brighter or lower depending on room lighting conditions. Turning off the Automatic Brightness Control may increase picture brightness.

Brightness problems with sony kf-50we610

This is typical for a set that uses a lamp, as the lamp needs to warm up.

If it is taking longer than normal to brighten up, then your lamp could just be aging and needs replaced.

Replaced the lamp in Samsung HLN437W and picture is brighter but not bright enough even after adjusting brightness. Also lamp LED still blinks

A few questions: was replacement just a bulb or bulb with housing and was it OEM lamp from Samsung?

If lamp light is still blinking the issue it has is there---other possible reason would be a ballast that is not bad but putting out low voltage to the lamp or the supply voltage to the ballast is low for some reason.

Actually the set should if the lamp light is still blinking shut off the lamp.

Also are you hearing any high pitched or fan like sound when the set is on?

Screen goes dull at times

The dulling picture really sounds like a lamp failing. You would need the sony lamp xl-2100u
The ghost image may be easier to fix, sometimes as lcds age you will get a slight shift in a color. deep in the sony menu there is a parameter (menu-setup-imageshift) that will give you 3 levels of correction, this may solve this issue.

Screen Brightness

What lamp did you replace it with? Some of the aftermarket bulb sources are not the original brand and do not work as well.
