Question about HP LaserJet 6L Printer
I connected my LaserJet 6L to my new HP Pavilion PC with a USB to IEEE 1284 printer cable. I successfully loaded the driver and Vista receives the print job and ships it off the printer. No errors, and no print jobs left in the que. One of the green lights on the LaserJet flashes like it is going to print, but then just stops without printing anything.
Use any printer parallel 25pin convertor to USB cable and connect it to pc or notebook
Connect both ends from pc to 6L printer
Go to website to choose the correct O/S driver for installation
Use virtual USB port005 for printer 6L
Bi-directional option can be ticked
Click apply and ok
Unplug and replug the USB cable
Try printing a test page,
I have tried it, the vista download drivers works on vista, no problems in printing at all, advise from http://www.bebo.com/andythoo

Hi there I think that vista has a problem with IEEE 1284 connections try setting the driver properties to no bi directional printing. If not then I suggest to get a HP jetdirect box so you can use the Cat5e network cable.
