Question about HP PSC 1610 All-In-One Printer, Scanner and Copier
How do I get to the jamed paper? Is there a manual showing how to take the printer apart?
HP PSC 1600 All-in-One series User Guide
I haven't found a service manual yet, but I will keep looking. The above is only the User Guide. There is a section on clearing paper jams in it.

Open the back access panel.
Don't pull paper from the front in large bunches. If you pull paper from the front, you will break the sprockets and it's game over. Throw it away, get a new one, or just use it to scan.
And I agree, if you can move the carriage back and forth (power off) you might be able to see the little piece of paper in there. It's a stupid design. We've wrecked two of these already. :(

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service
