I have checked only the fuse located below the male end of power adapter. Where is the second fuse located at?

  • stephan_brow Mar 01, 2010

The S700 is equipped with a power cord only. The power cord connects to the male plug adapter located on the rear panel. There is a single fuse located there. That fuse checks out ok.

First fuse as standard is in the plug to the power adapter. The second fuse is located at the back of the box where the power lead goes into. It is covered so look closely you just need something flat to open it. I have the S750 and that is what im basing this on but if the s700 is the same then you will find this helpful. Sorry did not notice this before.
Hope this helps.

I have a Creative Gigaworks S700 i have checked both fuses still no power to control box

Stupid question: does the sound still work? it could be the LED just died after continual use (rare, since they last a long time, but not uncommon).
If not... it could be the controlling circuit board died. In which case, unless you have electronics repair experience, it would be probably more worthwhile to just replace the speakers, as pricey a model as it is.

I need to connect a gigaworks s700 to my computer but i dont know how to.

Hello,

I wasn't sure if you were looking for the manual (connection instructions). If so, here's the manual:

http://ccftp.creative.com/manualdn/Manuals/TSD/7676/Creative%20GigaWorks%20S750%20Users%20Guide%20English.pdf

It's possible that your computer doesn't have the proper connections to connect these speakers. If that's the case you will need to upgrade your sound card.

I hope this helps and I which you the best of luck!!

Subwoofer will not play with other speakers

Hello

It looks like you have posted this before. Unfortunately, I don't know what you have tried so I may be repeating some of your earlier troubleshooting.

The subwoofer needs its own power supply to function properly. if it isn't getting enough power, the sub will not work at all.

On the back of the unit, you should see a green LED when the power is turned on. Is this light on all of the time of does it fade / flicker? This would indicate the power supply is going bad and you need to replace it.

Left front speaker works the rest dont and the sub makes a hum

Either you have it configured incorrectly this time around, or the settings are defaulted back to original on your DVR........ adjust your DVR sound properties/settings. and check all wires/connections as well.

I have a similar issue too, but my problem is that the sub has green light, and my control pod has an 'off' light, but it won't turn on :(
