Blame it on the President but people have the same tv in the same area and I doubt it was the digital conversion that is killing your decoder. Your decoder is acting up, short sweet and well put I been in the biz for years and there always was digital but you never knew it the digital converts was Over the Air not threw sat or cable tv signals those where always digitized and feed threw a analog pipe so this whole blame it on the conversion is just another thing people do not understand about tech. Actually its so funny now a days I have to laugh my degree in IT away. You need repair straight put if you tv is flaking out on all channels you need repair if its one channel its probably your cable box lagging call you cable provider! But trust me its not the DTC conversion

I hope I cleard this one up and I hope I was not to rude doing so but you just do not know how many people blame this on the digital conversion.

All of a sudden, my pictures have a pink splotch running vertically across the center of the picture. This is happening more often than not, and I can also see the splotch on the image display when I am...

Some symptoms of a defective CCD include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card. A problem has been discovered in some of the CCDs used in Panasonic, Fuji, Sony and Canon digital camera and digital video camera products that causes images to appear distorted or not to appear at all. And the says apologize for the considerable inconvenience this represents for your customers. Along with our respectful apology, we would like to advise our customers of the details of this issue and our policy for handling it, which are as follows.

The Malfunction:
Among the CCDs used in the affected products listed above, it has been confirmed that, especially under high-temperature/high-humidity environments, the internal wiring may come undone in some places.

If this defect occurs, the signal is not output from the CCD correctly when in shooting mode, which results in symptoms like the following in captured images. These symptoms can be confirmed on the LCD monitor. The same symptoms may also occur in recorded images:
* images do not appear
* images appear distorted

In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; this, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.

When taking pictures there is a color displacement of some sort. Leaves like bright purples and pinks shadowing images.It is worse in lighted areas, the more sunlight/bulb light the worse the coloring...

Hi,

The term for an out-of-focus purple "ghost" image on a photograph is "Purple Fringing."

This is fairly common in Digital Photography.

In order to minimize instances of purple fringing you may incorporate the following:
Avoid shooting with big aperture (Small /f number) in high contrast compositions.
Avoid overexposing highlights (e.g. bright sky behind dark objects).
Shoot with a UV/Skylight Filter or a Circular Polarizing Filter. These protect the lens and also help to Get bluer skies and cut glare off reflective objects.
You could also use Post-processing to remove purple fringing by scaling the fringed color channel. This can be done in an image editor like Photoshop.

These suggestions will help in minimizing the instances of color displacement for you.
I will look forward to your feedback and positive rating.

How can i hook up a ps3 to a tv

Hello,

"These are the optional uses of a Playstation 3, not just playing video games this is a lot cooler. Video connections on a Playstation 3, now this is the back of a standard Playstation 3. I'll show you really quick; we have our power, AV outs, digital audio, LAN for internet, HDMI out so pretty much if you want to get high definition picture quality you're going to have to go out and get yourself a HDMI cable. It will go from HDMI the Playstation 3 to the back of your HDTV, that is your HDMI cable this will carry audio and video in one cable. Of course if you want to go on the internet you have the choice of the wireless if you do buy a wireless, if not you can just plug in your inthernet cable right there. We'll skip the audio for now cause that is the next chapter and we'll go to the EV out, you have two options here if you still want high definition video and you don't have HDMI capabilities on your TV you can still go component. If your TV will allow it, component is the RGB that is your red, blue and green cables so with these cables you can still have a high definition signal broadcast to your TV through this output right here. If you are using the standard TV standard definition you don't have the capabilities of high definition yet it doesn't matter you'll get there. Just go ahead and grab one of the standard cables which is your RCA cables and this will be your yellow, white and red. This of course yellow is for the video, white is for your left audio and red is for your right audio so with these cables you can plug up to any standard TV even a high definition TV but only give you standard definition picture quality. So these are the video connections on a Playstation 3."

Please rate the solution. Thanks for contacting Fixya.

I have a Westinghouse TX-42F430S-it's about 1-1/2 yrs old. We don't have cable but do have a Jensen powered antenae. Since the digital conversion, it's worked fine until two weeks ago when it started...

Welcome to the world of digital.
The signal is essentially a bunch of 1s & 0s; what you are describing could not even occur with the old style of transmissions and yours is the first problem I have seen of this kind although applications have been around for a long time that could achieve a slow-down of audio for special effects purposes or music modification and they use two conversions (analog to digital, then back again) to accomplish this.
That incoming digital signal has to be converted back into analog to reproduce the audio and that conversion from the received signal isn't happening right.
The conversion of both audio and video from the input signal is probably done with a proprietary (custom) IC and it may not even be available as a replacement part except from the manufacturer or an authorized service center. I'm afraid no one at FixYa can give you a solution to make this a DIY project.
While our TVs now give us a far better audio and video, this change of systems has brought with it a whole host of new problems, many of them tough to diagnose and repair.

Tiny particles of dust on the light engine lens can cause this (and was a service call for me about a month ago), or possibly the expensive light engine.

it depends on what your using it for, adjust colour tones to what you think looks natural, contrast between 80-90, keep sharpness below 30. just have a play around till you find what best suits the source material.
