Look at the back of the TV set.
Locate the two small holes at the lower part of the set.
You want the one that has an F for focus above it.

Using a very tiny screwdriver, insert it and turn it to the left or right until the picture sharpens.

Happy TV viewing!

The focus remote will not work I don't know how to operate on on projector

Not all models of projectors have the remote focus built into them. Remote focus is a feature that designed & built into the projector, not the remote. So if the remote has a "Focus" button, it won't work if the projector is not so equipped. If it is the correct projector model and remote combinations, there could still be conditions causing it not to work, such as: projection lens not installed correctly; gear teeth that drive the lens broken off (some or all); electronics that control the remote function; remote not plugged in correctly (a remote will only work if plugged in the correct orientation of the 5-pin plug) and finally the remote control, itself. Lots of variables. Try troubleshooting in the order I have listed. Good luck !! Jim

Fix focusing on ektagraphic remote control

Ektagraphic III A did not have remote focus. Someone has probably substituted a remote from a higher functioning model on this projector. The forward / reverse functions on the supplied remote will continue to function correctly, but the focus buttons will not.
Good Luck !! Jim

Fix remote focus on ektagraphic projector

The problem you describe on your Ektagraphic ATS could be caused by a couple of things:
1> You have the incorrect remote. You need the correct remote for the remote focus over-ride to function. Just because the "Focus" button is on the remote, doesn't mean you have the correct remote control. The remote control could be broken, as well.
2> You could have a broken or mis-adjusted focus over-ride switch inside the projector. To rectify this you may need special tools and/or parts ( I'm not sure they are still available). To check this, contact:
Micro-Tools may be able to provide you with instructions to make the repair, as well as the parts. Good Luck!! Jim

The inlaws pushed about every freaken button on the remote, now the picture on our tv is way too big ,and the heads and logs etc are no longer there help !!! please

This formatting issue can commonly be corrected by simply pressing the (*) button on your remote this button is also known as the format button and is located in the bottom left corner of the remote, which is also to the left of the zero button. You can change the formatting of the tv picture by pressing the star/format button until the format is corrected. I hope this helps!

My TV has color adjustment issues and clearity,I currently do not have a remote for this TV..The picture changes sizes when programing changes. I can access the menu, but it is hard to make changes to any...

The cooling fluid used in those will cloud with age and cause the set to loose focus and cause the colors to be 'blotchy'. A good repair shop can do that but it is labor intensive and expensive.

The picture changing is likely to be the automatic format set in the customer menu.

The trim and screen protector seems to be NLA (no longer available). Any clear, clean piece of plexiglass can be used, Make it larger than the screen and use heavy duty double stick tape.

There is no way to adjust the view mode on this television without a remote control. There is a view mode button on the remote control. However if you have a cable box/satellite receiver dvr attached to this television adjusting the resolution, making sure the tv is on the correct input for hd from a receiver box, and pressing the hdzoom#, format or aspect button on the receiver remote should resize the picture. You have to play around with those settings to get a desirable size picture.

Seems possible that the servo control /main processor control is faulty and will need help from Nikon service , It will be better to get a evaluation for the fault and so we can have a consenses on the fault.
get estimate and decide.

Samsung rear projection tv has multiple images with differnet colors

The auto self focus screws up if the picture does not remain constant or close to it while focusing. It is designed to self focus every fifteen minutes. Go to menu and then setup and turn the auto focus feature off. I have had mine off for the past year and have had no problems. If you slide the bottom portion of the remote down you will see a self focus button. My suggestion is to put a DVD in and hit the pause button during a scene and then hit the self focus button. It should align back up and may take a couple of tries. (If you have an aftermarket remote, just enter the menu and then setup and you can activate the self focus feature, just don't turn it to auto focus!)
