SOURCE: Dyna Glo Pro RMC-KFA70TDGP 70,000 BTU Torpedo heater not igniting

The main circuit board supplies ac power to the ignitor ( black transformer looking device) and the transformer increases the voltage that is supplied to the sparking device. Make sure the wires are connected to the sparking device and the ends of this device are approximately 3mm apart and that it is in the general position near the end of the nozzle. If you do not hear a "clicking" sound it could be the main board, wires or sparking device.

SOURCE: When turning on My dyna

I have several of these in my shop. When they act up it is usually carbon deposits blocking the fire eye. This is a sensor that detects flame, if no flame is present it shuts down the whole heater. Remove the upper cover of the heater and attempt to start it, watch for 1- spark from the ignition sorce 2-fuel being sprayed from the atomizing nozzle 3-ignition of fuel. No spark bad spark plug or ignitor, no smell of fuel or small cloud of fuel, bad fuel filter, no fuel, bad fuel line, bad or plugged nozzle. There are several things that cause this but these are the three most common problems I encounter.

SOURCE: The fuel pump came apart

The first thing you need to determine is the correct model number of your heater (there's a couple of KFA125TDGP heaters, so make sure you get the correct manual). Once you've done that, go to the GHP Group Inc, website listing the heater manuals and locate the appropriate manual for your heater model and select it.

After you've selected the appropriate manual, you can either download it to your computer or print it out. Inside the manual you'll find exploded views, parts lists, troubleshooting, and instructions. When you locate the items you need to replace, contact your local authorized service center for the replacements (it might be quicker to pick them up than having them shipped to you from the manufacturer). If you don't have an authorized service center near you, you may call the company directly at: (877) 447-4768.

Hopefully, you'll have your heater up and working again in no time.

I have same heater and problem-1) Check fuel inlet screens at bottom of hose in tank 2) Check air filters at fan module opposite end of the fan blade 3)Check for spark in ignition chamber 4) Check for fuel flow in ignition chamber (look at pressure gauge at opposite end from air exit) You'll have to remove the top cover to do these checks. The side covers will hang on each side ok. I hope these checks help you out.Good luck.

I have a Dyna Glo-pro multi fuel heater. When I turn it on the ingitor starts working and than the fan comes on for a few seconds. Then the system shuts down because it willnot ignite. The tank is full and...

Since it does not ignite, Please check the ignition transformer. This have a secondary voltage of about 20,000 to 25,000 volts, enough to make your igniter
spark, thus, causing the atomized fuel to ignite and burn the fuel. So, please include igniter high voltage cable for ground leak. Ground leak is visible as line sparks when your heater is switched on. If your ignition transformer does not produce sparks at the
igniter, it means it needs to be replaced.
Have it done to make it work. Hope this will help you.

I have no manual and no clue

After not finding any help on the Internet, I went to Home Depot to see if they could help. I deduced through my own that the ignitor has failed. (symptom: Turn on the heater, no buzzing, no ignition, heater turns off, light blinks). It's the nifty little black box that has two white wired leading to the circuit board, and two thick black wires going to the spark plug. Of course, Home Depot doesn't carry parts.

They had one Dyna Pro heater on the shelf. My wife found a phone number on the box. We called it and sure enough, we found the company and was able to order the replacement ignitor over the phone. Total cost: $33.00 (Including shipping).

IS HELP OUT THERE. Here's the info:

GHP Group.
7500 Saint Louis, Skokie, IL 60076
1-877-447-4768

The replacement part is part number: 39E0002500
It fits models: RMC-KFA125TDGP, RMC-KFA170TDGP, and RMC-KFA70TDGP

Hope this helps.
