Hi,

  1. Make sure you are using all licensed accessories with your system. Make sure both the controller is licensed and any accessories you are using with the controller (Rumble Pak, Controller Pak) are licensed as well. Unlicensed products may not be fully compatible with our systems.
  2. Slide the Power Switch on the control deck to the OFF position and unplug the controller. Plug the controller back in, making sure the controller-plug is firmly inserted into socket one (on the left front ofthe control deck). Slide the power switch on the control deck to the ON position.
  3. If possible, try another controller in the left-hand port. If you have a second controller, repeat Steps 1 through 3. If the trouble disappears, the first controller may need to be replaced. For information on locating replacements for older products, please Visit :-

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

You need the colored cords to hook up into the back of your TV, and you need to keep in mind that a power adapter is needed too to plug into an outlet.

How do you connect your nintendo 64 to your tv

You need two cables. One has a very large, thick end that fits into the back of the N64. That is the power cord, you just plug that one into the wall. The other cord is a little trickier. It has a smaller end that plugs into the back of the N64 to the side of the power plug. On the other end of that cord, you have composite cables. (The red, white, and yellow plugs). Just find the matching color plugs on the back of your TV, set it to the correct input, and you're all set! I hope this helps!

Works perfectly but there is no sound to my Nintendo 64. people say check the yellow white and red cords but nintendo 64 desnt have those...

Find the cable that connects the N64 and the TV. Unplug both ends. Turn off the console. Plug in the console end of the cord. On the TV side of the cord, look at the colors of the plastic and the holes on the TV. Match these up and plug them in.

Can't not get our Nintendo 64 to work on our new Bravia TV

The Nintendo 64 sends out a signal that can only be properly decoded by old CRT TV's

Those Bravia TV's are the God's TV's even if they did work on it I wouldn't recommend it because it would most definitely eventually ruin the life span of your TV.

But to answer your Question the Cables should be plugged into AV1 which is the Red White and Yellow Connections

How do I plug a nintendo 64 into my tv? I have the yellow, white and red cables plugged into the front of the tv, and the 64 plugged in and turned on.

To see the game when you have it on you need to change the input setting on the tv. to do this you push tv/vidio on front of tv or the input button. You did not give tv make or model # to help you more

Good Luck

Getting started

The black plug which is your ac adaptor goes into the big empty space in the back of the N64, it can only go in one way.

The other cord will be your A/V cord which goes into the back of the N64 either on the far left or far right, that cord also can only go in one way.

After that then you need to plug A/V cords into your TV. Just match the colors of the cords to the inputs on the back of your TV.

Just remember which video input your using on your tv so if your using video 1, video 2, video 3 etc, you know which input you have to change your TV to so you get video on the screen as well as sound.

Nintendo 64 wont work on my tv

If you are using the original AV plug for the N64, it will probably not work on a new TV.  You must find a new AV plug in a store, or on eBay, Amazon, etc.  This plug must have the red, white, and yellow ends to it.  those are the color coded ends that go into the TV.

How do I connect a Nintendo 64 games system to a Hitachi TV?

Hi kdg 1026,
The wire from the Nintendo should have 3 plugs on the end. Yellow, Whit and Red.
OPn the baqck of the TV you have inputs that are color coded, Yellow, White and Red.
Plug the wires into the color coded inputs.
Turn on Nintendo. Press input button on your TV remote until you get the picture.
Let me know if this helps.
