My ipod displays red circle with a red cross inside. There is a clicking inside the ipod. The ipod will not take a chage.

connect the ipod to pc
start itunes
when it detects the ipod in recover mode
click on restore button to restore the firmware
it will download and reinstall the firmware

if it isn't detected in recovery mode then simply click on update button when it is detected normally in itunes.

Nothing is Wrong with your Ipod.it means  Do not Disconnect your ipod from your computer.

Unfortunately that means the hard drive in the ipod needs to be replaced.
