You patch directly into the router with a cable and then access 192.168.1.1. When the interface comes up, enter your admin password and reconfigure WEP.

Router wont allow ipod to join network?

You need to make sure that youre trying to connect to the right network or network name and you need to enter the network key if the wireless network is secured. if cant remember the network key you need to access the router page and on the wireless setting you can obtain the network key, you can also personalize the network name and network key and the security as well for you to remember easily

Need network key for belkin g+ router 802.11g

if you own the router and you don't know the network key or forgot it.
you need to reset your router, please check the intructions that came with it. if you haven't change the admin password (which is by deafult blank) go into the admin page and change or delete the network password doing something similar to this
if you don't have or can't remember the admin password you need to restore the router to defaults to reconfigure it

if you don't own the router and don't know the network key you need to ask the router owner for the key or use a program to hack into the router signal and attempt to figure the key out. (not recommended as it is ilegal)

I want to get a wep key for my router model wrt54g-v8 serial number cdff1g5b8259

You can create a WEP easily.

In the router setup, when you enable wireless security, you select WEP, then you can use any alpha numerics you want for the key.

for 64bit encryption, you can use a 10 digit key. ( I suggest an old phone number as it is 10 digits, hard to figure out and generally easy to remember) 128 Bit encryption is a 26 character key which is hard to guess, but hard to remember too.)

Once the key is set in the router and saved, you merely View Wireless Networks, select you router and type in teh key when prompted for the key.

Connecting to internet

What version of windows are you using, If your using any windows version you will need to save the network key along with the name of the network in the wireless properties in the network tab or (network and sharing center if using vista) or where it displays all wireless networks broadcasted you should be able to right click on the name of the network your connecting to and do the same that way. You also need to make sure when you connected the network that you checked the boxes that said to remember network key and remember network name.
