After removing the side cover, you will notice 4 black tabs behind the front bezel under the hard drive, bend these back just enough to let the front cover release at the bottom, then press the green square at the top to release the front plastic bezel. After you carefully pull the front off, you will need to remove the cables [power and IDE] pull up on the green tab that locks the guide screw on the hard drive and push it forward out of the case
With the assumption that you will follow the safety procedures as outlined in your manual whenever opening the case, removing a HDD is not that difficult.
Remove the cover. Locate the HDD in one of the internal drive bays. Remove the cable(s) from the back of the unit (remember how and where they connect). Remove the mounting screws from each side of the HDD that secure it to the drive bay. Carefully back the unit out of its bay - try not to disturb any other wires or cables that may be nearby.
