To switch off the ice maker simply pull out the ice bucket and remove and you will see a thin bar under the maker that you can simply push up until it clicks, hey presto its off!
If the leak continues look underneath the right hand door at the bottom and you will see where the waterline is attached, either turn the shut off tap (if one was fitted) or unscrew the pipe after disconnecting the mains water.
Good luck!

Turn the water off under the sink where the small line starts that goes to the fridge or there may be a cut off directly behind the fridge in the supply line.
Your water inlet valve may be stuck open. It's where the water supply connects to the fridge.

Why is my Viking refrigerator/bottom freezer leaking water out bottom of door? There is a layer of ice on bottom of freezer.

The ice on the bottom of the freezer is blocking a drain hole. When the freezer defrosts automatically, water drains out the bottom into a tray, where it evaporates away and you never see it under most conditions.

The solution is to either defrost the freezer manually and let the ice melt, or pour some hot water into the bottom of the freezer to thaw out the ice and clear the blockage.

If the drain is plugged because of some foreign matter, either method will make a mess, so have some towels at the ready to sop everything up if need be. If it is blocked, a can of Air Duster (like for cleaning electronics) might be able to blow the blockage out, if you seal the nozzle tube up as it is stuck into the drain.

Most likely it is just ice blockage.

You can access the drain tray (where the water goes to evaporate) by removing the grille on the front bottom of the fridge and peeking / poking around. You might want to keep an eye on it as you defrost the freezer or pour hot water in the bottom - it can over-fill quickly.

I have a Westinghouse side by side refridgerater with water and ice dispenser. The other day I arrived home to find water pouring through the back of the freezer section into the ice maker, and into ice...

Your water control has two sides. One side is for the ice maker and other is the water disapenser. If the ice maker valve becomes mechanically defective the water valve can allow water to continue to flow or not flow at all. Replace the water control valve and I believe this will solve this porblem, Thanks Sea Breeze

Water started pouring out of the icemaker and out the dispenser. When we opened the freezer door water poured out of the icemaker and down the whole freezer. Opened icemaker flap and water stopped. Turned...

Cindy, it’s either the water inlet valve that fills your ice maker or the ice maker itself that is bad. The ice maker itself controls the valve. It should come on for about 7 seconds to fill the tray. The valves do fail but not as often as ice makers fail. Its also possible that the fill tube to the ice maker is blocked with frozen water but since it made one tray that is unlikely. If you know someone that knows how to test the valve it would eliminate the decision of replacing the ice maker or the valve. Otherwise I would recommend changing the ice maker first. Hope this helps.

No water flowing into the ice maker reservoir. I poured water into the reservoir, but no ice dropped after 10 hours. Next day I unplugged refrigerator opened freezer door and thawed it out for about two...

Well, if the ice maker were working properly, when you poured water, assuming you poured A, enough water, and B, not too much water, you should have seen some cubes drop into the bucket. But since you did not get any ice cubes, I would have to say the reason your ice maker is not making ice is because you have a bad ice maker. Its not receiving water because it is not cycling.

My refrig stop making ice after I changed the water filter. I had the filter out for about 3 hrs, would this cause the problem?

Hi, first , pour about 2/3 cup of water into the ice maker . If if freezes , and dumps , replace the water valve. If it does not dump the cubes , replace the ice maker. After pouring the water into the ice maker , remove the bottom kick panel , and clean the bottom coils , of dust , lint , pet hair , etc , as this will raise the freezer temp . An ice maker has to be 5 degrees , to operate , correctly . If ice maker starts working , after cleaning the coils , GREAT ! ( it does happen ) .

Take care

Have viking side by side referagator , freezer model # ddrb304. I installed copper line to ice maker yesterday It is not making ice. Checked that water supply is on. Appreciate any suggestions Lou

make sure you have strong water pressure to the frig.
Do the ice maker have a shutoff arm? or a shutoff switch? either way make sure it is on. by now there should be water in the icemaker tray. if not then manually pour 1/2 cup of water into the icemaker. if it does make ice then replace the water fill valve.
if there is ice still in the ice maker tray you still have to check the water fill valve before we can say the icemaker doesn't work.
need a meter to check the continunity of the water vavle. if the valve is open repalce valve, if there is continunity the the valve is good.
hope this is helpful. if you cant do this ask a friend who is an electrician to help you

No ice

put your finger into the mold of the icemaker or get a mirror and see if there is any water in it, if not, pour 5 oz. of water into the mold and wait approx. 2 hours, if ice dumps out then you have a water supply problem. the fill tube line entering the the mold could be iced up, if it is then your water valve maybe leaking and freezing up. also the water valve may not be opening up and may need to be replaced if it still doesn't dump out the water you poured in the you will have a problem with the icemaker itself
