Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
I had reset my router to default and then connected to it using my laptop. I am able tp ping the router and also it connects fine and shows full signal strength , but I cannot access any websites.
If I use a wired connection with same ISP , everything works fine.
When connected via wireless open a command box and type "ipconfig /all" and note the DNS settings assigned to your laptop. Then do the same with the wired connection. If the wireless connections are not receiving valid DNS settings, that would explain why you won't be able to access any Web sites. You can then re-configure your router to issue the correct DNS settings as per those issued to the wired connection. You could alternatively add these DNS servers as static settings on your laptop, but its best to do it on the router and leave your laptop set to automatic.
