You might have problem with your driver cd of vista. it is easily availabale in net. Install usb softwate to fix this problem.
check device manager all hardware working correctly or not.right click on my computer then go manage.
if something showing question mark, double click on it.It will be automatically installed
go in run type->gpedit.exe and check hardware function is terminated or not.and make it active

Normally it should has been detected automatically. i suggest u to
browse Disk Management. Right click on my Computer and click Manage!
Hope the path will guide you detecting it....
Even if this doesnt work, dont remove the drive and restart ur computer....it worked with me....

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

This is cause by a virus or something , first thing that you can do here is to back up all the files from your pen drive and then one everything is already back up you can go ahead and format the drive, just right click the pen drive and select format....that should;d fix the problem,,,,

there is a problem with the case of the drive its not well connect or the board is defective .
are u using the perfect power cable .
you can be sure with this by removing the hdd from the case and connect it directly to the computer motherboard
if it works its sure that the hdd is ok case is deffective.
but before doing all this u can just go to diskmanagement in the manage option see if you can see the hard drive and please inform me with status
