Question about Vizio VW42LF 42 in. LCD HDTV
From the description of the problem, it seems that the video IC of the TV has gone.
Open up the rear cover and take a look inside. Look for some bulged or burst capacitors. A capacitor is that round cylindrical thing jutting out of the PCBs. If found just replace the module for ease or replace the capacitor if you are adapt at soldering. De-solder the item and procure ones of exactly the same specifications. And then solder them back. But make a note of which one from where as they are all different.
