Question about Whirlpool Dryers
Not sure what you mean by heat exchanger. If you are looking for the vent that brings the hot air into the drum then it depends on your machine, but most are located inside the back of the dryer. Most older machines the back will come right off after you remove a few hex screws. The vent is normally pretty obvious as the only large metal tube you can see. They are usually screwed into place and you can take it out and clean the lint from it.
