If you are using an external mouse (older mouse with rubber sphere)then clean it inside.if you are using an optical mouse or the in-built mouse(laptop) then take them to the service center to get it replaced or repaired under warranty. This is the best way to get rid of the problem or try reinstalling the mouse driver.

Make sure you have the mouse driver installed, the mouse driver for the trackpad, allows more functions and features from the trackpad. Like the one you want.

See the hp website, look under keyboard, mouse, input section.

How do I unstick my curser. I have re-booted, shut off and restarted the computer. I can not get it to move at all but the curser will move if use external mouse

You should have two buttons either side of your power button,
one of which (the right hand side i believe) controls your wireless connection, and if pressed your notebook will not be able to pick any wireless connections up.
The left hand side button controls your touch-pad device, possibly you have pressed this button without realising and it has disabled your mouse. Simply hit it again to resume the function of the mouse.

I must have hit a control function. Now instead of
moving up/down/left/right
in
individual cells, I am moving the whole page. Any Ideas?
Thanks

Acer aspire touchpad over sensitive

Hi,
Your laptop should have software pre-installed for your touchpad. This should probably be in the Control Panel. Once you find the software there should be options to change the sensitivity. Hope I helped.

I keep getting this error message when I try and upload a page in DreamWeaver- or change an existing page. The pages are "locked" but I have never locked them and they have never been locked. I...

Try this:
To change permissions for a disk, folder, or file:
  1. Select the item you want to set permissions for, then choose File > Get Info and click Ownership & Permissions, if necessary. If you want to set permissions for multiple items at once, select them, and as you hold down the Control key choose File > Get Summary Info.
  2. Choose a permission for yourself from the pop-up menu. If the menu is dimmed, you don't have permission to change this setting.
  3. To change permissions for the owner, group, or others, click Detail. If necessary, click the lock icon and, when prompted, enter the name and password of an administrator user of your computer.
  4. Choose permissions for each type of user from the Access pop-up menus.
