C330 Won't acquire satellites..

My c330 won't acquire any satellites. I was working just fine before. Garmin recommends leaving it on for approx. 45 min. in the car whilst stationary to fix the problem. Didn't work. I tried to reset. Played with all the settings features. Entered different destinations. I drove around with it for a whole day, and still nothing. What is up with this?

Have the same problem, I'm going to leave it on until the battery's dead to see if that works....

I have an external antenna coming via eBay for the c330. However, it was working fine before without an antenna. I have a Garmin nuvi 660 which has a full set of "signal bars" when I use it. Any other solutions?

"My C330 no longer stays on for 30 seconds after switching off power to it like it used to, it does not operate unless hooked to the external power. While it does acquire satelites, it's pretty slow at it.. I am replacing the internal battery to see if that remedies the problem. It is 2 years old and out of warranty."
Your problem is due to a dead battery. "While it does acquire satelites, it's pretty slow at it.." This is because it has lost all data information (time, date, and last location). It is like starting out for the first time every time you turn it on.

My garmin street pilot c330 won't aquire satillite. this unit is 2 years old, but never out of the box. i got it from my son and tried to set up. when you turn it on all of the data in the unit is...

Try connecting in your car and leave it on and let it charge while you are driving it may eventually find the satellite, it probably remembers the last satellite it found which was in Kansas. You may not be getting a signal where your are right now so run some errands and leave it connected in your car.
You can also go to the garmin web site and try updating the unit. You will need a usb cable and will need to install garmin updater. Make sure the unit is fully charged.
If this does not work you can call garmin and they are usually very helpful. Here is the garmin link which will help answer some more questions.

My Garmin c330 has difficulty acquiring satellites in my new 2009 Camry XLE. Does it have something to do with Bluetooth? Does it interfere? Ever since we bought the 2009 Camry XLE in June, the Street...

The C330 does not have bluetooth capability. Regardless, this has nothing to do with the unit's ability to acquire satellites. Nor should the type of vehicle you purchased, unless the unit is unable to receive due to some feature, like something in the windshield, which is preventing the unit from receiving a proper signal. Does the unit work outside the vehicle?

Having the same problem. Worked great for a year, and then couldn't connect once, and now never connects. I can never find any satellite and as such is pretty worthless.

Aquiring satellites

Are you outside with a clear view of the sky? It should find satellites once the unit is turned on. Does it say "Looking for satellites" or "Acquiring satellites"?

If it is "looking for satellites" then it means that the unit have lost all data (time, date, location). If it is "acquiring satellites" then it have date and time, but not location.

Looking for satellites require a longer setup time (could be as much as 15 minutes). Acquiring satellites is much faster (not more than 2 minutes).

Date and time is updated from satellites once the unit gets a satellite lock.
