SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

HOW TO FORMAT A ZIP DRIVE FOR MACINTOSH SYSTEM 7.6.1. I need to copy data from my old mac's hard drive in order to copy it to a new machine.

Format on your old Macintosh using standard Mac HFS, then your new Mac will read the files without problems. Reformat the discs if they came pre-formatted for DOS as the filenames won't copy properly and will be very slow to read/write If your new Mac is FireWire/USB only, then you'll need to track down a USB Zip drive (the 100Mg or 250meg versions will read your discs ok.)

Not working. Where can I send it for repair??

Do you get the 'Click of Death?" I just did a search for repair of just any ZIP drives, and I'm afraid that the results weren't good. I wish I could offer a solution, but all I can offer at the moment, is information I would like you to read, and perhaps this will explain.

I had a computer with a slot for reading iomega ZIP 100 disc. My new computer does not have this. Is there a device to read my zip dizc and send the contents to a USB port?

IOMEGA make a USB ZIP drive that reads and writes 100 and 250 Mb disks. Don't know if this is available any more, you might be able to pick one up 2nd hand.
If you still have your old computer, try networking your old and new computer together so you can transfer data from the ZIP drive on your old computer to your new one.

100mb zip disk not reading

These are pre-formatted and servoed at the factory.
Awhile back I was researching the 'Click of death" fault and found a guy in Belgium or Germany that coded a repair program for bad disks. Googlee for it

sometimes when it formats, it hoses the servo information (which the drive uses to keep track of things) and the disk becomes useless. This is why I stopped using ZIP disks and won't even buy a drive when I see them for 9.99 ;-)

Disc won't read

what type of zip disk are you trying to read? if it is larger than 100MB, the drive will not be able to read it.

can you read other disks? can you see the drive in my computer?

what operating system are you using, and how does does this drive connect to the computer? USB? Firewire?

Iomega zip port

First of all, make certain you are only using 100 MB disks in a 100 MB reader.

If the problem is more complex than that, I have several questions:

Can you read different disks?

what type of connection is the zip drive using with the computer? USB?

does the zip drive need an external power supply?

will the zip drive successfullly read disks when connected to a different computer?

does the zip drive appear under my computer at all? even as an empty drive?

what operating system are you using?
