If this is Windows XP, press and hold F8 after power on, choose Safe mode, and log in as Administrator. Then you can remove password for that user. If this is Windows 7, you need some boot CD (Hiren's Boot CD) with Windows password remover.
Forgot your Windows Vista password? Don't worry - it happens to a lot of people.Vista and Windows 7 allow you to create a password reset disk.If you installed Windows XP, boot up Windows XP in Safe Mode and log on with the built-in administrator account.Besides, using Windows Password Reset ,it is easy and safe ,and support all systems.
This looks like a corrupted file in the boot section or a virus attack. the only solution is to reinstall the OS. there is no hardware error, if you had any hardware error the display will not be working fine. reinstall the Windows OS.

if you forgot your password for windows you can solve it by using Hiren's Boot CD download it and burn it to CD the
boot from cd and goto password recovery section. there you'll see
active password changer. follow the steps and you can reset your
If the computer boots in to safe mode fine, you more than likely have a virus or spyware interfering with the boot process.
Windows also could have corruption on it. Insert your windows XP CD and boot the computer, you may need to set your boot order in BIOS so tht CD is first.
Once the CD loads Run the recovery console Select 1 for the C: drive if it asks for a password this is generally blank or will be the password on the "Administrator" account you see when you boot to windows in safemode
Once in the recovery console do a chkdsk /f command This is will check for errors on the disk and can fix a lot of boot issues I would also suggest typing the command mbrfix to replace the master boot record.
If it still will not boot you may need to reinstall windows xp
Hi Darren have a go with this one it may just work depending how mallicious the attack was .
windows default administrator account password is blank by default.
boot windows in sfae mode by pressing f5 key after theaventscreen has gone off when windows brings up the log in page use the administrator account and no password if this does not work and your laptop wont boot from cdrom then you will need to get a techie to open up the laptop and reset your bios so that it loses the bios password and then you can change the boot order so that you can booot from the cd rom drive
I've never had an acer ... but if you forgot the windows password, you're frozen. you need to run the computer in safe mode, some computers then don't requier a password. and in safe mode you can also access it via administator account, often without password, if with, someone has it, probably the person that installed the os for you. the administrator account let's you play with the passwords a lot more that your own account does. to run in safe mode, you need restart and watch for any messages on black screen like "press F1 for bios", gist watch for something about selecting the startup mode and press the button listed. if you have quiet boot - a picture instead of most of the black screens and writings, pres escape during it to remove it. you should have the key instructions somewhere. everything goes pretty quickly, so you might need to repeat things a bit to gett everything done fast enough. when in safe mode, reset the vista password like usually - by the accounts manager or whatever vista has (I'm sticking to XP).
check the bios and see what the boot order is for the boot devices. Hard disk 0 should be listed after the cdrom drive. this problem you are having might occur if the hard drive is down the list in the boot order, and not checked as being a valid boot device.
