Phone returns to main screen when navigating through the menu
I just got a new vx9900 and when I navigate through the menu, it continually flips back to the startup screen, and I lose whatever work I was doing--entering new contacts, etc. the pattern is random and not just after a long period of time.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
Goto Menu then Profiles you see a red dot on General. Press options on lower left of screen and Edit. scroll down to Flip Beep and click it then scroll to Silence and press Select on lower left of screen. It worked for me.

Note: if it is the first time you use the phone lock code, key in the phone lock code again and press the Navigation key. -The selected settings are reset. -Press Disconnect to return to stand-by mode.

Press the Down main navigation button and press Menu/OK. The
main navigation button is in the center of the keypad and is cylindrical
Press either the Up or Down main navigation button until "New
Entry" appears on the display.
Press the Menu/OK button and "Enter Name" will appear on the

scroll through your phone book alphabetically.
Press the button with the phone icon on it (not the goodbye
button) to dial the number associated with the phone book entry.
The power button is also the Menu button - click and release once while the player is on, and see if it gets you back to the main menu. Or press the left arrow key and see if it will get you back to hte previous menu.
1. Go to Settings & Tools.
2. Select option 5 (Phone Settings)
3. On next window select option 5 again (Location)
4. After the selection is made you should see 2 selection options. a.) Location ON & b.) E911 only.
5. If the selection is on "E911 only" your Navigation system will not work. Change the election to "Location ON" and after selecting this option, exit and go to Navigation.
