Acer Aspire 5100 Series

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5100 series laptop that was in a car accident. The screen has a huge crack down the centre. I just recently bought it from staples but because it's user damage they won't cover it under the warrenty. I haven't finished paying the thing off yet either. Is it worth my time to try and find a new lid to have it swapped? Where would I find a new lid for my laptop? I've tried looking on ebay and kijiji with no luck finding a new lid. If anyone can help I'd be so thankful.

No. Power would be prevented by a bad outlet, power strip not on, faulty or mis-connected power cord, bad connection between the tip and inlet of the power cord, a bad power inlet, or a faulty motherboard. Independently testing each of these until you narrow it down is really the best/only way to figure out the problem.

Can not change LCD brightness
Hi i have exacly the same laptop 5100 series 5102wlmi you get the drift and my solution is try the fn button to see if it works and make sure you keyboard is in the right country i.e if you live in the uk not us make sure it is in UK.

FYI,
If your lcd is cracked, your warranty is gone. It doesn't matter if it is accident or not, because it is user fault. Unless you have 3 year total warranty from acer, they will repair it.
