Question about GE Profile Spectra JGBP90 Gas Kitchen Range
Intermittent F7 problems are usually caused by poor connections. pull the ribbon connector off the control board and clean the copper connectors using a pink pencil eraser. but if this solution does not helps then its the f7 error due two things out of this two any of the one is faulty so the error comes up and beeps
in the unit there is a control touch pad board and ERC board.to check out which one is faulty out of that try this
To identify the problem on this one,I cut power to the range and disconnect the ribbon connector that connected the touch pad to the electronic range control (ERC) board. Then re-apply power and let it sit that way for 24 hours. If after 24 hours no error code comes up ,then the touch pad is the problem. If, on the other hand, the F7 error code comes back, then the (ERC) is the culprit.
to get the required part which is faulty , that you can get it from
its worth getting it repaired if you are in two minds.its not very tough thing to do manually but yes bit technical knowledge is advisable.so if you think its bit out of your reach a local appliance repair technician familiar with this brand /model is advisable.

The F7 error code can mean a stuck control pad button or shorted control pad. You could try unplugging the range from the electrical outlet for 20 minutes and see if the code clears. Otherwise you might need to replace the control panel. In order to stop the beeping noise you will need to remove the back panel of the range(unplugged of course) to get to the control panel. Then you will need to disconnect the ribbon cable that goes from the control panel to the board. you should be able to pull the connector out with a pair of pliers. This should stop the beeping noise. Let me know if you have any other questions.
