Using a cable splitter i have one cable going to the modem and the other going to other tv. The problem is the other tv is stuck on one channel that is different than the first tv

Most cable systems today scramble their digital signals in such a way as to require the use of a "cable card" (for TVs that support them) or a set-top decoder box. Hooking up directly to the cable on most cable systems today won't get you much of anything in the way of channels regardless of the type of tuner you have installed. They do this to ensure that you are paying a fee for each set that is connected to the cable (the rental fee for the card or box).

My tv sanyo cm21kf81A, chassis number FC3-G221 has snow noise on all tv channels, but AV1 and AV2 play good sound

First check cable wire or whatever is connected to set for channels--the leads are connected and wiggle them with set on to see if it clears up--could be a connection where cable wire is connected at end--loose connection there etc.

If tuner is bad causing this and you use a box for signal--most have rear audio/video outputs you can connect to a unused video/audio input on rear of set---bypass the tuner in the set and operate set that way changing channels on box instead of set.

let me know if you have questions or have more information.

My plasma say no signal I power it off then back on and its ok for about an hour then no signal again. I changed cables and swapped Cable boxes. Still same problem.

Hello,

Be sure that your television is on the proper channel i.e the AV mode.

As you have tried to change cables and boxes and the problem seems to remain, then you now need to understand that the problem was not from the boxes or the cable, it is from the dish, it might not be receiving information from the satellite and causing there not to be any form of signal.

First try to connect your cable o another television to ensure that the problem is not from the television, if the cable works on another television then it means the connection port on your television is not working and needs to be replaced. The port which you connect the cables on the television i mean. But if it does not work, then you need to understand that the problem is from the dish. It is not receiving signal from the satellite, and the solution to that is for you to contact the dish provider to run a check on a dish to see if there is no problem with the dish.

Take care and good luck.

Hope this helps!

Sometimes when changing channels it indicates "no input". Sometimes you can go to previous and then back and the channel will come up, other times, you need to power off and back on as the TV totally...

This actually sounds more like a signal issue on the cable box. When you go from regular digital chs to HD channels sometimes boxes will distort or pause the picture when changing channels (it's not the cable or satellite, it's your TV trying to read the different format of the chs) this is normal. Also, some TVs may need to have a firmware update and you can normally get it from the Manufacturer's website

Snow no connection to cable box

the fact that you are seeing snow tells me that your tv in in the tuner mode .. your cable box is more likely hooked up to the AV input (composit video + 2 sound channels ..3 wires total) .. or it could be hooked up to component inputs (5 wires total) ... you will have to go to the menu of the TV and choose the proper input ... if your cable box is actually connected thru the tuner (coax cable to RF input .. one cable) then you have to select the same channel on the tv as what the cable box is set to .. that is usually chan 2 or 3 ... there is also an svideo input on your tv .. that can take the place of the composit input ..
here is a diagram of the back of your set so you can determine how its hooked up ..
