Question about BenQ Graphics G774 (White) 17 in.CRT Conventional Monitor

1 Answer

No Signal My BENQ G774 Computer Monitor has been flashing, changing colours and occasional stripes for the last couple of weeks. i tried to take out the connection with the PC and place it back in. It is now blank, coming up with a "No Signal" sign on the screen and the light is orange.' When i tried to change it over to my laptop it worked perfectly so it is not the connections... any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If the monitor works ok with your laptop, the video graphics adapter in your computer may be defective.

Check andmake sure that all of your cables are tight and secure. If they are then you probably have a bad video card. they are fairly easy to replace:

I bought a Lenovo S10e last week, for my mum, the monitor was to small for her, so today I bought a Benq g2220hd monitor, problem is that I dont get a signal on the Benq monitor, I did get the windows logo...

first i would check the compatibility of the monitor to the laptop and see what they say, and if it should work odds are the monitor will have to be set manually through the laptop itself or on the menu of the monitor itself, may take a while playing cat and mouse but im sure you will get it, more then likley from what im understanding its a resolution issue between the monitor and the laptop, especially if you got the windows logo on the boot

first problem could be the hdmi cable you are using is loose or broken.second, the display mode you selected was wrong, try to go to desktop and right click and choose nvdia control panel and choose the nview display mode to use, select the only use one display(single)and apply.

Benq monitor flashes primary colours when switch on or off

This is called burn-in mode. Used to test the monitor at the factory.
To fix this, use the buttons under the front of the monitor,
There are six buttons. Let's number them 1 to 6 from the left.
Press 6 to display menu (at the bottom in Red will say Burn in mode on)
Press 4 or 5 until Recall is highlighted
Press 6 to select
Press 4 or 5 until Recall All is highlighted
Press 6 to select
Press 4 or 5 until Yes is highlighted
Press 6 to select
Press 3 to exit
This will reset all paramaters and also turn-off burn-in mode
If you want to reset some parameters to your preferences, press 6 again to bring up menu and
see you user guide to get explanations for the different settings.

Monitor calibration

In the menu, goto colour temp settings and adjust as needed.
The last item (from memory here) is an option to reset the monitor back to factory defaults, you could try that also.
Hope that solves your issue.
