It means the file your computer uses to figure out how to communicate with a device, such as your CD or DVD drive, is not working properly. You can search sites such as driverguide.com using the manufacturer and model number of the device to get updated drivers, that should use an installation procedure. Just unzip it using Winrar, Winzip, Winace, or whatever archiving tool you use, and double click the .exe file (should look like a computer). I sincerely hope this works, I can remember my first time having driver problems. Don't get overwhelmed!
